Daycation in Saint Thomas, USVI
The beautiful US Virgin Islands is comprised of the three main islands of Saint Croix, Saint John and Saint Thomas, along with many surrounding islands that form the archipelago known as The Virgin Islands.
Saint Thomas is the most cosmopolitan island of the main three, yet it still retains its laid back Caribbean atmosphere.
As a major cruise hub, it's not unusual to see a minimum of 6 cruise ships docked in a day during the winter season. [That's approximately 20,000 people integrating into a population of about 50,000.] So if you are cruising specifically to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, then Saint Thomas will most likely be on your itinerary as a port of call.
During our Norwegian Gem Eastern Caribbean voyage, we booked a shore excursion to Magen's Bay. Listed as a one of the top 10 beaches in the world by National Geographic, Magen's Bay is a major tourist destination.
