Curacao Travel

CURACAO

Located off the coast of Venezuela, Curacao is the biggest island of a trio of islands known as the ABC islands in the Southern Caribbean.

The ABC islands are part of the kingdom of the Netherlands.  This Dutch Caribbean island is known for its beaches tucked into coves and expansive coral reefs rich with marine life.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Located on Curacao's southern shore, Sunscape Resort & Spa is an all-inclusive hotel.  Hotel features include elegant mahogany furnishings, free Wi-Fi in the suites, flat-screens and desks, as well as hammocks and/or furnished patios [depending on the room].

Meals and drinks are served at 5 restaurants and 4 bars [including a swim-up bar].

Other amenities include 3 freshwater pools, direct beach access, a fitness center and a spa with a Jacuzzi. This property is family friendly.  Children age over 14 are welcome.

THINGS TO DO

Mambo Beach Blvd is a strip that offers shopping, dining, entertainment right on Sea Aquarium beach. Just a 10 minute walk from Sunscape Curacao.

Willemstad, a UNESCO world heritage site, has pastel-colored dutch colonial architecture, floating Queen Emma Bridge and the sand-floored, 17th-century Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue.

BEST TIME TO VISIT CURACAO

The best time to visit Curaçao is from May to November, during the off-peak season. During these months, you'll find the lowest airfares and hotel rates, with rooms often priced up to 50% lower than they are during peak season.

Curaçao doesn't suffer the wrath of hurricane season as it is located outside of the hurricane belt.  Curaçao's weather tends to be sunny even throughout the year as compared to other Caribbean islands that experience torrential rains.

Located 12 degrees north of the equator, Curaçao's average temperature rests in the mid-80s year round.  Most travelers head to Curaçao between December and April [Peak Season], causing hotel rates and airfare to skyrocket.

The Curacaoan landscape ranges from barren rocky plains, to dry desert areas where Cacti reign supreme instead of palm trees.

Curacao is a different type of Caribbean.  It's an island of contrast loaded with history and culture.

Travel. Explore. Relax.
